NextAid’s World AIDS Day Campaign (WAD2010)

NextAid, a leading nonprofit organization that harnesses the power of music to support sustainable development projects that serve vulnerable children, youth and women in Africa, has announced its fourth annual World AIDS Day Campaign (WAD2010).

Beginning November 27, 2010, WAD2010 will kick off a multi-date campaign in cities across the world to raise funds and awareness for AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children, youth and women in Africa. Current cities include Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Cape Town, Detroit, Vancouver, and many more. Top dance music artists including Frankie Knuckles, Rocky Dawuni, Mark Farina, Osunlade, Stacey Pullen, Marques Wyatt, Ultra Nate’, Swayzak, and others are all participating in this year’s events. Lisa Shaw’s Free Album Release Tour With DJs Miguel Migs & Marques Wyatt At Webster Hall, 4/24

miguelmigs3This Friday April 24, Salted Music singer Lisa Shaw will peform at Webster Hall on her official album release tour for her latest full-length, entitled Free.

Label head of Salted Music and DJ Miguel Migs will spin a set, as will Los Angeles native Marques Wyatt, who graced the decks at our Hudson party last year.  Both will be playing their own unique styles of soulful house.

Staccato, Rekles, Kids With Snakes, Alex English and Gavin Royce will all support the night on the main stage.
