Stac and Royce Wood Jr. got together this past December to put together a live session for Mary Anne Hobbs, exclusively for XFM. According to Stac, the experience was very surreal:

It was crazy. The only day that we could do it all was on Friday 23rd December. STRESS! So much preparation went into it, the OneTaste choir came and sang, The Dans got involved on bass guitar and kit (they play regularly for Jono McCleery and Jamie Woon, they are bad ass), Nick Lee from Amber States hopped on the guitar and Jamie Woon grabbed a mic, as did I. It was all very exciting.

Above, you’ll find the video for “Wet,” which will be out on February 13th! Enjoy.

Lee Bannon – Mix for Mary Anne Hobbs’ XFM Radio Show

Sacramento based producer Lee Banon, while only 24 years old, is already a decorated artist in his own right. Having worked with Talib Kweli, The Alchemist, U-N-I, Curren$y, and Saigon, to name a few, this dude is definitely well on his way. Last month, he released his Fantastic Plastic EP, which you can stream in full after the jump.

Today, we want to share a supremely dope mix he did for Mary Anne Hobbs’ radio show. Hollowed pulsing sounds are chopped into a mystical ambient concoction – you can’t help but close your eyes and fade out.
