M.I.A.’s New Track “Born Free” in Romain Garvas Film

Be Warned: This video contains graphic, violent imagery.

M.I.A. is the latest artist to send the internet into a full-blown frenzy with a video. The short film by French director Romain Garvas, which has been pulled from YouTube and labeled as NSFW elsewhere, is set to the music of M.I.A.’s “Born Free.”

M.I.A.’s Upcoming Album To Be Awesome

News has been leaking about the new M.I.A. album to come later this year. We share her frustration regarding interweb connections, so we absolutely love this story: M.I.A. wrote a song about Verizon Customer Service’s incompetence, and she even got some Philipino Verizon employees to sing backup on the track, perfectly titled “I’m Down Like Your Internet Connection”.

No guarantee that this song will be on the new album, but for now, take this MP3 to go along with the video, via MFR.

“Whachadoin?” by N.A.S.A. featuring everybody, funny talking cellphones, dancing eyeballs, and lots of neon. (It’s a music video, it doesn’t have to make sense!)
