Afropop March Mix featuring Les Nubians, Femi Kuti and more + MP3

African music site Afropop.org has started a monthly mixtape of their favorite tunes and this is the debut. “Afropop Worldwide March Mix” includes a track from the new Les Nubians album, “Veuillez Veiller Sur Vos Reves (J Period Remix) f. John Banzai.” Chill out with this mix, including music by Femi Kuti from his forthcoming album plus some great new Strut records.

And though no one can dance like Rye Rye, this mix will have everyone dancing with crazy energy. Check out another great example of Rye Rye’s ridiculous dance skills in the above video, Rye Rye’s version of “Party in the USA” – but this is not for the Miley Cyrus fans. Unless they’re on speed.

M.I.A.’s Vicki Leekx Video: Part One

M.I.A. released the Vicki Leekx mixtape at the top of January with another custom web domain, which included an interactive globe and listeners popping up as dots across continents. We should’ve known that was just the beginning: in this video, released on Wednesday, we see the globe spinning, lit up with M.I.A. fans, plus her internet-crash style imagery and real Wikileaks footage. This is just part one, so expect more chaos soon…
