New Track: Robert Glasper – “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” ft. Muhsinah
December 26th, 2012

Robert Glasper bestowed us with a little holiday gift yesterday on Christmas. Calling on the other-worldly vocal joy that is Muhsinah, he created a brilliant new holiday song, "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman."
With Glasper's signature stirring piano playing and Muhsinah's chilling delivery, the track holds both a traditional and modern fusion feel, never quite resting in any singular place you can give a name to. Leave it to these two to partner up and evoke a few emotions or twelve. Holiday music isn't the same anymore.
New Track: Muhsinah – “Goodbye”
October 8th, 2012

Muhsinah is killing it. Her Gone EP owned, showing the multitalented artist successfully taking on a new sound - and it's still is getting spins from us. Now she's embarked on a new project called the "Dear _____" EP. Today, we've got the first single from the EP, "Goodbye," to share!
Like the songs on Gone, "Goodbye" has an electro indie rock vibe with soul flourishes, and once again - we wholeheartedly approve. Loving the chimes, buzzes, and beeps coloring the track.
New Track: B.Jamelle – “Marsy Muse”
April 8th, 2012

DC based singer B.Jamelle comes equipped with a voice so buttery that we're doing the most right now to keep the fluster off our faces right now with these heart palpitations. It's wrong, really. Think a divine mixture between Muhsinah and Jazmine Sullivan. Have a little aural gander at "Marsy Muse" produced by Slimkat78 below and let us know if you don't break out into a cold sweat yourself.

Muhsinah is awesomely awesome and obviously everyone else should think so, too. Seriously listen to her Gone EP if you haven't already - seriously. Above, you'll find the rad stop motion video for one of our favorite tracks off the project, "Stop!" Take a look at the lyrics on the YouTube page as well - the lady's quite the writer as well.
