Nas just released the latest single from his upcoming album Life is Good, along with some pretty swanky artwork. Produced by Salaam Remi, Da Internz & Heavy D, their studio mastery is unmistakable on this track, aptly titled "The Don." This dancehall-drenched beat is going to hang as heavy on your head as that ring undoubtably sits on Nas’ finger.
The new video for K'Naan's "Nothing To Lose" with Nas shows them spending a night in the city cruisin, sippin, hanging out in alleys - you know, the regular. The video also features interludes of K'Naan and Nas trading notes about their challenges coming up and 'paying their dues.'
Internationally celebrated MC and singer/songwriter K'Naan is now out with his More Beautiful Than Silence EP, a collection of five brand new tracks. Previously, we shared the lyric video for "Nothing To Lose" with Nas, and after the jump, you'll find the video for a collaboration with Nelly Furtado!

K'Naan speaks on his upcoming EP:
I spent the last year living my life, observing other lives, changing, evolving, then breaking down to the basics. I've been good and ugly, sometimes couldn't tell which was which. I felt the oldest pain in the world for the first time, and found myself lost. All the while, through all the changes the only thing which remained consistent was being in the studio. I sometimes took a matter seriously, and when I realized that the matter was me, I laughed hysterically. I wrote about 60 songs or so. Some of them will probably never be heard by ears other than mine, but some I am now ready to share.
Posdnous and Trugoy (Dave) of De La Soul have adopted the monikers of Jacob "Pop Life" Barrow and Deen “D” Whittier to present their newly founded First Serve duo. Above, you can find a characteristically quirky intro to these fine young men.
On April 2nd, First Serve will be releasing a concept album centered around "the story of two young boys from Queens, New York with big dreams and larger rhymes." French production team 2 & 4 will be laying down the beats for the project. Take a listen to the first single, "Pushin' Aside, Pushin' Along," below - smooth like butter. In absolute delight we are.
At the very end of this post, you'll also find The Goon Time Mixtape, which features the duo rapping over reworked instrumentals from Nas, Jay-Z, Jurassic 5, The Beatles, Aloe Blacc, Eminem, Run DMC, and B.B. King.
