In April, Black Milk was invited to Jack White's home studio via a personal phone call from The White Stripes rockstar himself. The incredible honor took the indie Detroit rapper and his bandmates to be part of a historic series of jam sessions with Jack White and a team of his musicians, which became White's first venture into hip-hop.
What resulted is the single we have for you today: On the A-side, "Brain" and on the B-side, "Royal Mega" - streamable below. To Black Milk's surprise, the Nashville-based legend deferred to Black in taking the production lead. A live album of entire jam session, titled Black Milk Live at Third Man Records, is also in the works.
From Black Milk himself: "The time we spent in Nashville collaborating with Jack White was one of the greatest moments in my music career. It not only inspired me to continue to work hard as a producer, but also confirmed that staying true to my art, without compromise, can manifest into the type of rewards that money can’t buy."
