DJ Vadim Presents The Electric – Life is Moving – Exclusive Giant Step Mix + MP3

Mix for GiantStep.net by DJ Vadim

DJ Vadim’s new group The Electric recently released Life is Moving, layering electro-funk under soulful hip-hop vibes. In very heavy rotation at the Giant Step headquarters, Life is Moving consists of nothing but 100% quality tracks, from the opening ’70s-style roller boogie “Toot Toot,” to the deeper groove of “We Rolling,” to the sweet lovin’ tracks like “Hands Up.” Watch two music videos – “Beautiful ft. Yarah Bravo” & “Running” – singles from the new album, after the jump.

DJ Vadim travels the world and drops prizes and clues for fans as he goes — to learn more, check out The Electric Sound Company’s worldwide scavenger hunt with DC Shoes. The project involves street art in the form of electric blue plastic-wrapped bikes, and the uploadening of fun pix.

Who doesn’t love to see legendary musicians still doing their thing? Roy Ayers is one of those legends. He’s taken advantage of his status in modern music, scooping up a younger audience with his heavily-sampled “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” as well as touring and recording with younger artists.

2011 will see a lot of Ayers. According to his website, he will be releasing three new albums this year, plus a documentary (trailer above) The Roy Ayers Project. Check out an example of the new Roy after the jump, in his video for “Everybody Groovin.”
