50 Years of Dr. Martens Free Album Download

From back in August, we started bringing you these classics covered by some of today’s most loved tastemaker bands. So far the project has included The Noisettes, The Duke Spirit, Dam-Funk, Buraka Som Sistema, The Cinematic Orchestra, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, N.A.S.A., The Raveonettes, and Michael Davis of MC5 & D.O.A. reinterpreting classic tracks from the Buzzcocks, Sham 69, The Human League, Neneh Cherry, Jeff Buckley, The Pogues, Max Romeo, The Stone Roses, and Cold War Kids.

The tenth and final track in the series is VERBAL + YOON‘s interpretation of The Runaways‘ single “Cherry Bomb” with a video directed by Yue Wu.

Wild Young Hearts by Noisettes Out Now

The London trio Noisettes‘ full length album Wild Young Hearts was released in the US today on Mercury Records. From the stomping electro-rock of “Saturday Night” and galloping funk grooves of “Don’t Upset The Rhythm,” to the glorious ’60s-tinged soul of “Never Forget You,” Noisettes have made what is set to be one of 2009′s most adventurous albums. “Wild Young Hearts – it’s about feeling and acting young, whatever your age,” says guitarist Dan Smith. “It’s about having fun and not following the pack.
