Live Recording: Rich Medina at Le Bain, May 2012

We recently got slid a pretty amazing one hour and twenty six minutes of music by Rich Medina’s manager. The recording is from Rich’s set at one of our recent night’s at Le Bain at The Standard in NYC. And might we add that it’s been one of his best nights to date?! Yeah, we helped do that. We’re not boastful or anything. But in case you’re smacking yourself right now for missing it, feel free to stream the whole set below. We’re loving and compassionate like that.

“International” – New Live Version from Baaba Maal

pic1_smBaaba Maal‘s Television (Palm, 2009) brought a subtle blend of electronic dance elements and timeless traditions of West African music, much as the result of collaboration with New York’s Brazilian Girls, co-producers of the album.

While on his current world tour, Baaba’s song “International” became a crowd favorite as it evolved with new layers and instrumentation. This extended version deviates from the original with its prominent horn section and added rhythms, yet it maintains the high quality of a studio recording.
