The Original Soundtrack for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides features first-time collaboration with Oscar-winning Hans Zimmer and the acclaimed guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela. For the fourth movie they wanted a new sound and they found a perfect combination with these musicians. “I’ve been a big fan of Mexican guitarists Rodrigo y Gabriela for years now,” said Zimmer, “and I asked them if they wanted to come and play with us. We’ve been having a really great time with them being part of the musical world this film gets to inhabit.”

The Indaba Remix Contest launched this week, in which users are asked to remix two tracks from the soundtrack. The winning remixes will be featured on Indaba and AOL's Spinner. And yesterday, KCRW hosted the premiere of “The Pirate That Should Not Be” - check out the blog to stream the single.

Soulstice is back from hiatus with a new album, In The Light. We got a special preview a couple weeks ago, including three teaser tracks and a free Ayers-inspired remix. She's also kicking off her US tour with John Legend in mid-June - see a full list of tour dates here.
