Mixtape + Video: The Soul Rebels Drop Power = Power & BTS with Rick Ross

New Orleans based brass band The Soul Rebels premiered the Power = Power mixtape today with Noisey. Grab it for free below. It features studio, live versions and remixes of original material as well as covers of modern day hits by such superstars as Jay-Z, Daft Punk, Kanye West, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Bruno Mars.

The mutual respect they have received from the music community at large is witnessed in an exclusive behind the scenes video of The Soul Rebels with Rick Ross. He and his crew flew to New Orleans to hang and vibe with the group as they were being considered to be his new band for the current Mastermind Tour. Check it out above.

Estelle – “Break My Heart” ft. Rick Ross

Estelle has yet to let us down; her albums get better as her career moves forward even after the enormous jolt of “American Boy,” the Kanye West collaboration which brought UK rapper/singer Estelle to the US public eye. The next Estelle album will be called All of Me and judging from the new single “Break My Heart” ft Rick Ross, we’re happy to get even a piece of her. She also worked with David Banner and Daley recently on this track, “Benz.”
