The multitalented Mark Ronson joins TED to give a talk on the history of music sampling and how today’s culture often distorts the spirit of sampling with “hijacking nostalgia wholesale.”
Brooklyn’s own, The Stuyvesants, are back with their second album! Called The Finer Things, the album consists of parts one and two, each with twenty tracks to groove to – the homies are on fire!
The mood is often cinematic and like its predecessor, Brooklyn’s Finest, it makes for perfect background music to pretty much any occasion. Us? We’re picturing ourselves inside a old school romance film on an epic car ride at dusk.
As always, the project is for the people and for free! Stream and download below – find the Volume 2 stream after the jump.
And for those of you that fancy The Stuyvesants’ apparel designs like we do, they have their OG designs along with a couple new ones available at their shop, including sweatshirts for the fall!
