The first weekend of Coachella 2012 has hit its conclusion and man, what a bar it has set. Above, catch a crazy video of a Tupac hologram performing “Hail Mary” and “Gangsta Party” on a mind-blowing onstage collaboration with Snoop Dogg. Live performance effects just got that much more serious, y’all.

Quincy Jones: Soul Bossa Nostra

The latest album from Quincy Jones, Q: Soul Bossa Nostra, will be released on November 9th and has Quincy-produced tracks re-done with some of the biggest recording artists.  Billboard was able to sit down with this legendary producer and musician to hear his thoughts about each track and what it was like working with artists like Amy Winehouse, John Legend, B.o.B., Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and many others.

Top Artists & Producers Get Together To Celebrate Quincy Jones on Soul Bossa Nostra

Some of today’s biggest recording artists and producers have joined together to celebrate the music of multi-Grammy winning producer, composer and arranger Quincy Jones by recording contemporary versions of his popular recordings on a new album called Soul Bossa Nostra. A “family celebration,” Soul Bossa Nostra will be released on May 25th, 2010.

Among the artists to pay tribute to Jones’ massive catalog are Usher, Ludacris, Akon, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, T-Pain, Robin Thicke, LL Cool J, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Wyclef Jean, Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Three 6 Mafia, David Banner, Bebe Winans, Mervyn Warren, Jermaine Dupri, DJ Paul, and Scott Storch.

Gorillaz featuring Mos Def and Bobby Womack

The first track from the new Gorillaz album has been released, and it features an incredible combination of Mos Def and Bobby Womack. The track, “Stylo” comes from the Gorillaz’ upcoming album Plastic Beach. Other artists featured on the new alblum include De La Soul, Little Dragon, Lou Reed, Snoop Dogg & The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and more. Plastic Beach will be released on Parlophone on March 8th.
