New Release: Steven A. Clark – ‘Fornication Under The Consent of the King’ + Download

Steven A. Clark yesterday released his poignant post-breakup album, Fornication Under The Consent of the King. Sounding like a blend between Aloe Blacc and The Weeknd with dashes of The Neptunes, Steven digs deep into his heartache, wading in the desolate depths of his sadness and jadedness. Arguably, it may be the mens that do it best when it comes to emo. Remember Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak? Yeah, ish was depressing.

There are definitely going to be some weeping bros that will find secret relatability here. And we’re gonna let you have that. It’s all a free download and the full stream is available on Consquence of Sound, in case you’re crying so hard that you can’t wait for the download to complete.

Video Premiere: Steven A. Clark – “Angel of Death”

If you haven’t heard of this guy yet, please get on it speedily. Steven A. Clark is an electro-soul vocalist with what seems like the perfect picking of pop sensibility, sometimes reminding us of Pharrell, other times of The Weeknd, yet still having created a blend of sounds that is new.

Earlier this year, he dropped a free EP called Stripes on Bandcamp and it goes, people – instantly repeat worthy. Above, we are happy to host the official premiere for “Angel of Death” off the project. The dark, dim-lit video serves up a creepy tale to the deceptive yet charming track.
