Video: The Bamboos – “Lost” (Frank Ocean Cover)

Yeah. Couldn’t stop listening or watching. The Bamboos are out of the world with this performance and Kylie Auldist has some voodoo powers with that voice, for real. Certain covers bring a whole new life to a track and just thrust you into a world of wonder. We found ourselves ruminating on the possibilities of all the beautiful varied versions that can be birthed from great songwriting. Frank Ocean, how we love thee.

Awesome version of “Lost.” And it is pretty fantastic to hear our gal sing about titties – we agree.

The Bamboos’ buildup to their upcoming album, Medicine Man (out June 5), is rather salivation worthy. Recently, you probably heard the buoyant new track with Aloe Blacc, “Where Does The Time Go?” Turns out the tune is actually part of a double A side single with today’s song, “I Got Burned,” being the complement!

Featuring the smoky vocals of Australian rockstar Tim Rogers, “I Got Burned” is an understated throwback soul jam accompanied with dull-toned visuals seemingly in a perpetual dusk.

New Track: The Bamboos – “Where Does the Time Go?” ft. Aloe Blacc

“Where Does the Time Go?” by Australian soul and funk band The Bamboos features some welcome vocals from Aloe Blacc. Fit for a snappy summer pop tune, the sound is mellow and a little bouncy with an easy sing-a-long melody holding a dreamy promise.

The Bamboos will be dropping their fifth album, Medicine Man, on May 21.
