Bilal, the Philadelphia born, Grammy nominated artist who has collaborated and performed with the likes of Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Erykah Badu (he performed on her tour June 8th in Philly), and The Roots, is releasing his third studio album, Airtight’s Revenge, on September 14th. Although classically trained and jazz-influenced, Bilal says this next album will be an eclectic mix of “jazz, hip-hop, soul, blues, and experimental free music.” To tide us over before the release of his much anticipated album, here’s a free MP3 download of his song, “Free.” The song will not make an appearance on Airtight’s Revenge, but it’s the first time the fully mixed and mastered version of this song has been released for download. Check it out and see what you think.
