Since then, he has released 4 albums and toured extensively. His latest album As Above So Below (3/22) shows him teaming up with Nashville’s Shannon Sanders, and features guest artists such as upcoming Atlanta songstress Algebra, rapper Phonte of Little Brother, and Shawn Stockman of Boys II Men. So if you’ll be in Chi-town this weekend, mark your calendars for Saturday and get tickets!
On March 5th, Bilal brings his own live band to the windy city for a rare Chicago performance by the Philadelphia-born Soulquarian. Bilal’s 2010 album Airtight’s Revenge was arguably one of the best soul albums of the year, getting incredible feedback from both his peers and the press. The remixes, the covers and videos that came along with it were all leading to this – the tour. If you’re in Chicago next weekend, catch Bilal at The Shrine, presented by Giant Step and Dusty Groove, to experience the voice Janelle Monáe once described as a Van Gogh painting.
