Kutiman Brings ThruYOU to the Guggenheim

The YouTube video mashup artist, Kutiman, had one of his most recent pieces presented last night at the Guggenheim in NY.  Kutiman is most famous for his online video project, ThruYOU, where he puts together YouTube videos and blends them in a way to create music with his own unique twist.

In the above video, Kutiman’s mashup is joined by a live version of Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5.”

New Kutiman Audio-Visual YouTube Mix: Maroon 5

Launched in March 2009, Kutiman‘s audio-visual project ThruYou: Kutiman Mixes YouTube, got a huge response worldwide. He uses videos like samples to create new works of art, and his efforts were noticed by the members of Multi-platinum selling artist Maroon 5. Kutiman says, “The band sent me footage shot on their recent US tour and that is what i came up with .. enjoy :-)”
