As we continue to clutch our britches in anticipation of Tokimonsta and Suzi Analogue’s collaborative Analogue Monsta project to drop, we will happy devour anything these crafty lovelies throw us. And here we have it – the video for “Time To.”

This isn’t some casual ish. Nope. It’s near catastrophically hypnotic and all consuming with its “na-na-na boo-boo” -esque swinging melody and psychedelic visuals. You might drool a little (because that’s how strong the sensory overtake is). We totally want to be a funky 8-bit-ish stick figure chilling with our guitar amongst sunflowery spinning cogs.

Video: Tokimonsta – “Darkest (Dim)” ft. Gavin Turek

It’s been a while since Tokimonsta released Creature Dreams, but please believe that that joint is still in regular rotation.

Although it’s really difficult to pick favorites off the EP because it’s all incredibly solid, “Darkest (Dim)” featuring the marvelous Gavin Turek on vocals is probably one of our favorites – if we had to pick.

Featuring the lovely Turek herself, the video plays out like a breathtaking fantasy film showing the poignant intersection of the light and dark worlds. Makes the song seem even more like a prayer – so beautiful!

Ah, how we love our space cadet musicians. Philadelphia based vocalist and beatmaker Suzi Analogue brings us some of the best in slinky space tunes in her hazy new video for “The Thing.”

Like Tiombe Lockhart and Georgia Anne Muldrow? You’ll dig this. Fiending for more already? We understand. Check the links below to grab Suzi’s NNXT EP that dropped earlier this month.

And here’s something you may not be ready for: Suzi and TOKiMONSTA recently completed a demo for their collaborative project, The Analogue Monsta. Let’s just say that it’s very difficult for us to contain ourselves right now.

TOKiMONSTA – ‘Creature Dreams’

It’s not every day you see female producers out there, and it’s certainly not often that we hear of one with chops enough to be welcomed into the boys club that is music production. Over the last couple of years, TOKiMONSTA has quietly crept up to the ranks of being a must watch artist. As the only woman on Flying Lotus’ label, Brainfeeder, Toki holds her own and then some with her recent Creature Dreams EP. The project is inspired by the woozy dreamy state she found herself while crafting during the wee hours of the night. As with any of her other work, Creature Dreams is moving; melodic, trippy, and dense yet still sexy, it’s the perfect ambient music for a rainy daydream or a late night work session.
