Tour + Downloads: Lotus’ Luke Miller Launches DJ Project- Luke the Knife

 

Lotus’ Luke Miller is turning his musical skills to the DJ booth. Using the moniker Luke the Knife, Miller brings funk and disco to the dance floor with multiple mixes, remixes and edits available as free downloads on SoundCloud. You can catch him on the road in April (dates below) opening for Future Rock including a stop at Brooklyn Bowl on April 18th.

NYC: Selah Sue Live on May 30 & 31 + Additional Tour Dates

We are very excited to be presenting two NYC shows featuring the marvelous miss Selah Sue. You may have heard us raving about her after sharing her most recent tune featuring J. Cole.

Feist Releases ‘Metals’ + Stream, Tour Dates, & Contest

 

The day is finally here! After several video vignettes and a lot of squirming, we can rest easy to the awesomeness that is a new Feist album. Metals is the follow-up to her 2007 breakout, The Reminder, which earned 4 Grammy nominations.

Recorded in Big Sur, California, the sound on Metals is characteristically experiential, ranging from low rumbling and moody ambiences to brutal and intense heart-wrenchers. Take a listen to a few of the tracks below.

Hindi Zahra Releases ‘Handmade’ + Free MP3

 

The day is finally here! Today marks the U.S. release of Hindi Zahra’s debut album, Handmade, an infectious work of exotic sounds that playfully savor East and West. There is no one quite like Omar. Knowing this, the UK’s Tru Thoughts will be re-releasing his masterful Sing (If You Want It) album on July 18th. Featuring collaborations with Stevie Wonder, Angie Stone, Estelle, and Common, the re-release also comes with two new tracks: “Dancing” with Omar and Zed Bias, another infectious tune featured in the video above, and a remix of “It’s So” by Bob Sinclair. “Dancing” will be officially released on June 27th.
