Giant Step SummerStage 2013 Video Recap


Almost a month ago, over 6000 people came out to celebrate music at Giant Step’s annual SummerStage showcase. We were thrilled to bring New Yorkers an awesome lineup featuring Hiatus Kaiyote, Jose James, and Shuggie Otis. The mood, the merriment, and good weather were all undeniable. Video: The Knocks feat. St. Lucia – “Modern Hearts”


The Knocks premiere the video for the summmer dance anthem “Modern Hearts” featuring St. Lucia. In it, a lovely couple meet up in New York City and find themselves arriving at a parking garage for some privacy.

Video: Meye Mind “Bitch”


Berlin based threesome Meye Mind premieres the video for the track “Bitch” today. It’s from their recent debut release I Love Nerdy. Sarah Polonsky at Vibe calls it, “a cutting edge game of soundplay with left of center optics.” Left of center, it is with frontwoman Louise Mills serving up geisha warrior, bad ass boxer, executive realness, and bright haired diva .

Video: Montreal’s A K U A Premieres “Gravity”


If you love the ethereal, downtempo sounds of Rhye or the soul meets electronic combo of Jessie Ware, then you must check out Montreal based artist A K U A (pronounced a-koo-ah). Today, she premieres the beautiful video for “Gravity” directed by Kofi Carson and set in the Florida Keys. That’s her as the mermaid. An impressive debut, and we look forward to hearing more when she drops her EP, One’s Company, on June 4th.
