Mount Kimbie Announces ‘Cold Spring Fault Less Youth’ Album For May

The UK’s Mount Kimbie are finally unfurling their sophomore album, Cold Spring Fault Less Youth on May 27th on Warp Records. In celebration of this jump-for-joy announcement, a song from the album, “Made to Stray,” which received first play honors on Ben UFO’s on Rinse FM show just a few weeks ago, is being given away free, direct from the Mount Kimbie site this week. Stream the restrained, and at once, overwhelmingly joyous dance track below.

Dom and Kai will be playing dates all over North America surrounding the album release date, immediately following their opening European tour.

Hudson Mohawke’s “Thunder Bay”

Scotland’s Hudson Mohawke has done it again with his new single, “Thunder Bay.” The track sounds like a bunch of 6-year-olds having a rave at bootcamp. And of course it works cause it’s HudMo, duh. You won’t have to wait too long for another dose, either; The Warp Records artist will release his upcoming EP, Satin Panthers, in early August.

Jamie Lidell – “The Ring” Video

From Jamie Lidell himself: “Jamie and fellow musicians including Chilly Gonzales and Dan Rossen (Grizzly Bear) lift their hammers in this Anvil blues, whose lyrics describe a bedraggled beachcomber as he is seen desperately searching for his lost gold. The video, shot by Lindsey Rome in double vision through the barrel of a dusty camera’s sights finds Jamie returning to the songs birthplace, the beaches of Western Australia, to shout it out from the sands.”

Taken from the forthcoming album Compass out May 18th on Warp Records.
