New Tracks: Marbert Rocel – “Little Things” & “Let’s Take Off”

Last week, we got you hooked on a snappy little tune called “Whether The Night” by electronic soulsters Marbert Rocel.

Today, we got a couple more treats for you to snack on! “Little Things” is an ever so slightly dubby yet melodious downtempo instrumental asking for you to get lost inside it, while “Let’s Take Off” holds a similarly gentle sound with echoey chants and laser beams. Hold on to your britches.

German band Marbert Rocel has instantly won our favor with their recent releases. Mixing folk, pop, electronic, and jazz, the quartet has got some serious charm going on all the way from their instrumentals to vocals a la Quadron, Little Dragon, The XX, and Feist.

Above, watch animated paint spatters to accompany the syncopated chants and calming coos of “Whether The Night.” Below, you can change gears and twirl about to the danceable disco and house tinged “Monster Party,” which is also available for free download. Friday night is set.

Since you’re obviously loving this as much as we are, you’ll be delighted to know that there is more to come on their upcoming album, Small Hours, due April 20th!
