Join Chico Hamilton Euphoria in performance in celebration of Chico's 85th Birthday. Always hip and ever the consummate modernist, Chico invites his audience to join him and his cohorts in this special evening, continuing the 85th B-day celebration which has seen Chico release four new albums on JOYOUS SHOUT! in 2006: "Juniflip", "Believe", "6th Avenue Romp", and "Heritage", illustrating why Foreststorn "Chico" Hamilton is a NEA Jazz Master and still The Man for every generation!

Seamlessly blending African and Brazilian rhythms, jazz rifts, and rock guitar, Joaquin 'Joe' Claussell continually produces innovative fusions of danceable world music. From his Friday night jam sessions at the illustrious vinyl shop Dance Tracks, to his collaboration with Francois K and Danny Krivit, the legendary underground party, Body Soul. to his latest party, Sacred Rhythm, to his role as owner of Spiritual Life Music, Claussell continues to deliver deep, soulful, global music that uplifts and inspires. Joe will be spinning cuts from the SoulFeast (a joint production and label venture initiated by producers Brian Michel Bacchus and Joaquin "Joe" Claussell) presents Chico Hamilton- The Groove Master re-Fuzed - an extended EP project of mixes based on the drums and grooves of legendary drummer Chico Hamilton.

Tickets purchased for the 9:30 show are good for the entire evening, including afterparty. No advance reservations will be accepted for discounted 11:00pm tickets.
