Natalie Walker Set To Play At Joe's Pub (NYC)

Born and raised in Indiana, vocalist Natalie Walker has come a long way from her roots, to find her way home. With musical influences ranging from Goldfrapp to Lauryn Hill, Beth Orton to Sade, Natalie has finally created a place where both music and life intersect, "Creating music is my outlet," she says , "I was born to sing. When I don't, I feel empty. When I do, I feel fulfilled. Its that simple."

"Urban Angel", her solo album debut, co-written by Natalie and two-man production team Stuhr is a journey through uncertainty, a shaky road where when you think you've reached the point of falling, Natalies's voice climbs up through the airy synthesized hums to take your hand, and lead you back, not nessisarily where you were going, but where you find, you need to be.

The former lead singer of down-tempo electronic group Daughter Darling explains the recording process like the stories she tells of her life. "Its like fitting pieces of a puzzle together...." And moving from a Born Again Christian family in the midwest to New York musical stardom, her travels have been just that, "fitting pieces together," and taking moments to realize and manifest her dreams.
