That said, I first got hip to Chico on an album called 'With Strings Attached' which is Chico's quintet with Eric Dolphy. Once I knew the name, I kept seeing Mr. Hamilton's name on countless recordings (old and new). What an inspiration! I have a lot of respect for Chico as a drummer, artist and innovator. His music has been a simple, timeless symphony of life, and that's the energy I wrote and recorded this song with. I hope you dig it".
