Recovering from Hurricane Wilma's damage last year, according to Billboard.com, Miami's Bang! Festival is seeking to establish itself as a festival with broad appeal through its innovative programming. Carefully choosing acts according to their fanbase, the program will include Duran Duran (35 and over) and Modest Mouse (college crowd). Tiƫsto, Daft Punk, Common, and Kinky round out the picture.
Gnarls Barkley was chosen to highlight the festival, not only for their Miami roots and overwhelming popularity, but as the representative act to bring together the demographics. And, since festival organizers are already projecting an attendance of 50,000, it seems to be working.
The Bang! Festival will take place on November 11 at Miami's Bicentennial Park.
