Damon Albarn Preps The Good, The Bad And The Queen Debut CD

Unsatisfied by the success of his two previous bands, Blur and the Gorillaz, vocalist Damon Albarn has four new projects in the pipeline. "The one thing I never want to be guilty of," Albarn firmly believes, "is repeating myself." With upcoming work as diverse as producing Algerian El Gusto’s 2007 album, scoring the Chinese opera Monkey: Journey To The West, and singing for a feature-length Gorillaz film with Monty Python's Flying Circus animator Terry Gilliam, he’ll be hard pressed to fall into that creative trap.

As previously reported, Albarn is also fronting a new project, The Good, The Bad And The Queen, featuring former Clash bassist Paul Simonon, ex-Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Afrobeat drummer Tony Allen. The group's debut is out in January and is led by the single "Herculean." Watch this space for more information on the album.
