Funkstörung Compile Their Remixes As Final Project Together

Techno dons Funkstörung, Michael Fakesch and Chris de Luca are making their !K7 remixes compilation CD, Appendix (released 1/23/07) their “final statement" before they disband and "dedicate themselves to their solo projects," states a press release. The pair resign on their website, "this is extremely sad news, as we have worked together now for 12 years and had really great times along the way."

Quick to express himself as a solo artist, Michael will continue working with !K7 records, collaborating with vocalist Taprikk Sweezee. His as-yet-untitled album is due in spring 2007. Check out Michael's pre-released remix/cover version of Herbert's ”Something Isn't Right” via his Myspace site. The final Funkstörung compilation will feature remixes of Bjork, Lamb, Raveonettes, Towa Tei and Spacek as well as film scorer Barry Adamson. The album artwork by Purple Haze will be a "visual remix” of Funkstörung’s first compilation.
