Upcoming Giant Step Shows: Alex Jazzanova, Gilles Peterson, Koop

Posted by Jay Yee, Oct 02, 07:43 PM EST

We've invited several of our favorite artists to play for you in the weeks to come. In chronological order on Oct. 11, the first party at Cielo, NYC will celebrate the Berlin label Sonar Kollektiv's 10th anniversary with a DJ set from co-founder Alex Barck of Jazzanova, supported by Roland Appel of the Trüby Trio, Fauna Flash and Voom Voom production teams.

Next up is another event at Cielo on the 23rd of Oct. with the most prolific compiler in the scene and presenter of the BBC Radio 1 show Worldwide. He is of course none other than Gilles Peterson. DJ Moni will play a warm-up set and José James will special guest on the mic.

And finally, we're hosting the Swedish cross-dressing, '40s jazz enthusiasts, Koop for their first US show in just under 5 years. They will be performing live at the beautiful Hiro Ballroom, NYC Nov. 2nd.

For tickets and info for all of these shows, click the links below, and we hope to see you all enjoying yourselves at the events.
