News - Nas Plans to Release N-Word Titled LP

Nas Plans to Release N-Word Titled LP

Posted by Jay Yee, Oct 29, 06:30 PM EST

Olu Dara's son, Nas, has decided to call his next album Ni**er, claiming he'd wanted to name his last one Hip Hop Is Dead the racial slur, but "the climate wasn't right." Perhaps it's unclear as to what "climate" could ever be right, but Nas believes it's an appropriate reaction to the public debate regarding Barack Obama and the latest hate crime: a noose around the neck of Tupac's statue in Atlanta.

Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries has asked the label's chief auditor to withdraw $84 million from Nas's label Universal Music Group should they move forward with the title.
