Posted by Michael Yu, May 17, 12:55 PM EST

Having played a standout show at this year's Coachella, Daft Punk return, this time on film. Titled 'Daft Punk's Electroma,' Daft Punk principals Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter make their directorial debut with a film that is a psychedelic musical and visual odyssey that revolves around two robots and their quest to become human. Similiar and theme explored in 2005's 'Human After All,' the film will be screened in the coming days as part of the Directors' Fortnight, an unofficial adjunct to the Cannes Film Festival.
