In support of their critically acclaimed album 'Silent Shout,' which was released in the US on July 25th via Mute, Sweden's The Knife will embark on their first ever US-tour beginning in November. With only three dates, I won't really call it a tour, but with audiovisuals and set design by acclaimed artist and director Andreas Nilsson, for those lucky enough to be in the area, it looks to be a show not to miss. TOUR DATES WED NOV 1st WEBSTER HALL, NYC FRI NOV 3rd MEZZANINE, SF...

The internet buzz surrounding the new Outkast project is active on practically every urban music website. People are wondering if the September audio release, 'Idlewild,' will be as good as their previous, whether Big Boi and Andre3000 are splitting up, and if there are any leaks to download. I don't know about that last one, but the duo sat down with Zane Lowe on BBC radio last week (Wednesday, August 2nd) to address some of the rumors and give a sample of what's to come in their world. To...

It seems as if Kanye West is constantly exceeding the hype that surrounds him. Last year, he graced stages opening up for one of the biggest international acts of our time, U2, as they embarked on a world tour. As if that wasn't enough, West has now been tapped to open up for the Rolling Stones on selected dates on their Bigger Bang Tour including stops in Massachusetts, Nova Scotia and New Jersey. Looks like his quest to "touch the sky" continues on.

The kaleidoscope of dance DJ's, producers and musicians known as Bugz In The Attic, played to a packed, sweaty crowd at London's Lovebox Festival 2 weeks ago. After some glitches in the matrix including time screw-ups and technical set backs, Bugz rocked a memorable and energetic set. Last weekend, KISS 100 radio station played highlights from various performances and we've stumbled across the dope Bugz show, which concludes with a brief interview. If you couldn't be at the party, then the...

From Christopher O’Riley transforming Radiohead’s music into classical pieces, to producers and artists in the urban & jazz worlds re-working well-known Radiohead tracks on ‘Exit Music: Music With Radio Heads,’ when I got wind of another pending reworking I was of course a little apprehensive. I mean as much as I enjoy a good cover, there is a point when...

With a North American tour starting in September, Massive Attack are hard at work on their 5th Studio album, titled 'Weather Underground.' Recording in their own studio in Bristol, England as well as in New York with members of TV On The Radio, recording will be put on hold while on tour with plans to return later this year or early 2007. No details have yet to surface on what the new album will sound like, but the band will most likely be road testing a few new tracks.

Just a few days after the Billboard Dance Music Summit, Vegas is set to host the Vegas Music Conference at the Hard Rock Hotel on September 20-24.
