Beastie Boys To Play At Gimme Shelter Benefit
Hosted by Rational Animal and the ASPCA, Beastie Boys are set to play a rare initimate show at Hiro Ballroom (NYC) on October 4th as part of the "Gimme Shelter: Rock & Rescue NYC" benefit. The charity event will benefit local rescue groups and New York City’s homeless animals. While Run DMC may be caught up in some legal trouble with the song "It's Tricky," one member, Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels will be honored for his foster work, tomorrow in Washington, DC. Hosted by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, Run DMC is being recognized for the charity, Felix Organization, he co-founded earlier this year, which aids neglected and abandoned children, after learning of his own adoption.

The Sugarcubes Reunite For One-Off Show
Celebrating the 20th Anniversary after the release of their classic debut single "Birthday," Bjork's influential former band, The Sugarcubes, will unite to play a one-off show in Reykjavik on November 17. All profit from the concert will go towards Smekkleysa SM, who continue to work on a non-profit basis for the future betterment of Icelandic music and artists, according to Bjork.com.
