Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels Honored For Foster Work
While Run DMC may be caught up in some legal trouble with the song "It's Tricky," one member, Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels will be honored for his foster work, tomorrow in Washington, DC. Hosted by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, Run DMC is being recognized for the charity, Felix Organization, he co-founded earlier this year, which aids neglected and abandoned children, after learning of his own adoption.

The Sugarcubes Reunite For One-Off Show
Celebrating the 20th Anniversary after the release of their classic debut single "Birthday," Bjork's influential former band, The Sugarcubes, will unite to play a one-off show in Reykjavik on November 17. All profit from the concert will go towards Smekkleysa SM, who continue to work on a non-profit basis for the future betterment of Icelandic music and artists, according to Bjork.com.

Lupe Fiasco To Play Secret MySpace Show
Having been pushed back several times, the public will finally see Lupe Fiasco's 'Food & Liquor' released tomorrow. In celebration, Lupe Fiasco will be performing at Chicago's Metro, as part of the Secret Myspace Show series. According to Lupe Fiasco's website, a select number of 'guaranteed admission' wristbands will be available for pick up starting day of show, at Tower Records on 2301 N. Clark Street #200 in Chicago.

Chico Hamilton Requests Your Remixes
Chico Hamilton and label, Joyour Shout!, announced yesterday a remix contest on Chico's MySpace page, that requests DJs and fans to download a beat picked by Chico, remix it and then post it back on the site. Chico will then pick his favorite tracks and will post it on his MySpace site. RJD2 Goes Rap Free
Not quite the same as Moby deciding to go internet and email free for 2006, RJD2 has decided to go rap free on his forthcoming yet untitled third album. Instead of the sample based hip-hop/electronica of previous albums, the new album will be a depature for RJD2, with live instrumentation played entirely by himself.
