Having brought you a first listen of "Don't Feel Right" from The Roots' upcoming album last month, as reported by SOHH, last night The Roots unveiled the entire album at Sony Studios in New York City. Still patiently waiting on word on when the next Digable Planets album will drop, in the meantime it looks like Digable Planets will be playing a handful of shows in the next couple of months, including one at Nokia Theater here in NYC.

Having achieved success with the critically acclaimed 'BE,' Common is reportedly working on the follow-up, 'Finding Forever.' Hoping to be released in September of this year, production will come from Kanye West, Kareem Riggins and J Dilla.

With this year's Giant Step Summerstage show including a performance by Jose Gonzalez, we have had his tunes in our head for weeks. Being a bit crazy for him right now, we came across this video for a song called "Hand On Your Heart." A Kylie Minogue cover, the track is taken from Jose's recent 'Stay In The Shade EP' and is simply gorgeous, both the song and video. Watch it here.

As reported by Billboard, having produced their self-titled debut themselves, this time around the Brazilian Girls have teamed up with producer Ric Ocasek, who besides producing also plays guitar on the first single, "Last Call," for their sophomore album, 'Talk to La Bomb,' set to be released September 12 on Verve Forecast.

The first single from their long-awaited 'Idlewild' album, "Mighty-O" is set to be released on August 7, preceding the album, which will be released on August 21st. "Mighty-O" is the first joint OutKast single to be released since "So Fresh, So Clean" from 2000's 'Stankonia'.

I won't consider playing on the Jimmy Kimmel show a must-see event, but when it is The Streets with Mike Skinner singing with a full gospel choir, presumably the only time this will happen, it is. Back with N'Dea Davenport, the trend-setting British based soul outfit, The Brand New Heavies, return with fanfare. Their latest release, 'Get Used To It' which was released digitally last week, managed to become the #1 R&B album on iTunes. With this news plus a handful of upcoming shows, The Brand New Heavies have definitely been missed.
