Barring any additional delays, Outkast’s forthcoming release, ‘Idlewild,’ is set to arrive August 22nd with the accompanying film arriving three days later in theaters. Written and directed by Bryan Barber, ‘Idlewild’ is set in the 1930s and is about the music and business of running a speakeasy. While the music will fit the film’s context, the music will not be period music. According to Big Boi, "It's hip-hop. It's OutKast. It is what we've been doing for years.”
