release description

Stepping out from behind the boards, production trio SA-RA deliver their anxiously awaited artist debut album, ‘Black Fuzz,’ featuring the innovative first single “Hollywood.”

With a makeup that includes Taz Arnold, who worked as a primary creative consultant and talent scout for Dr. Dre, Shafiq Husayn, who was signed to Sony and produced for a vast array of artists (e.g. Ice-T, Body Count, Lord Finesse, Prince, Duran Duran) and Om’Mas Keith, who produced for the late, great Jam Master Jay and produced and/or engineered on tracks for artists such as Onyx, Run DMC, Lauryn Hill, Mobb Deep, Coolio and Ice Cube, the SA-RA crew are by no means newcomers to the game. However, after years of creating for others, SA-RA step out front to bring us their artist debut, Black Fuzz.

Featured on this 12-inch is the clap happy “Hollywood.” Rooted in a simple one-two beat, with layered back and forth eighth note beat fills and harpsichord melodies, SA-RA create a relaxed yet moving track. Blending hip-hop, jazz and funk elements to create what the group calls “Afro Magnetic Electronic Spiritualism,” “Hollywood” is the perfect segway to get the crowd up and dancing or to cool them down. With a vision to liberate people, prepare yourself to enter the world of SA-RA as they level out the musical playing field.
