Gilles Peterson and Giant Step proudly presented a night of groundbreaking new artists at the Hiro Ballroom, NYC (1/24/07). Entitled The Brownswood Sessions 1.0 after Gilles' new record label, the show brought together Tita Lima from Brazil, Jose James from Brooklyn, Taylor McFerrin also from NYC, and Soil & "Pimp" Sessions from Japan. Gilles rounded off the string of stunning performances with a special 2 hour DJ set.
