Amp's lifetime of influences and experiences, drawn from his work with the likes of Prince, George Clinton (with whom he toured for more than 10 years), Maxwell, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Primal Scream, Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, Lucy Pearl, Carl Craig, Only Child and Moodyman result in a unique blend of funk, soul, electronica and dance.

Afro Strut features 5 new tracks not found anywhere else including "If I Don't," an uplifting 1930s inspired song, sprinkled with woozy jazz vocals of multi-platinum and Grammy nominated artist Corinne Bailey-Rae and the timeless deep ode to spirituality "Faith," where Amp is joined by former Tony, Toni, Tone and Lucy Pearl founder, Raphael Saadiq.
