While her first single from Shine, the will.i.am-produced "Wait A Minute (Just A Touch)," continues to tear up the clubs, Estelle is starting the New Year off with a bang. "American Boy" finds Estelle again backed by will.i.am's peerless production; but this time she has also teamed up with Kanye West to help deliver the goods. The discoey, funk-infused "American Boy" was born after John Legend requested "a hit" from her -- and this 12-inch is proof not only that Estelle has given Legend and the world a hit song, but as she says herself, "I gave the ladies an anthem!"
