what a busy week....bumped into IG Culture in a local second hand record shop, did not know that he 's in town, next stop soulsearching studio for a words & music special with him and the Soulparlor guys out of Mainz who are holding the broken soul music flag high with their fantastic "you move nothing if you don't move yourself" clubnights at the red cat club. So IG's regular there as well as Marc De Clive Lowe, Domu, King Britt, Jazzanova, Dego and cool hiphop artists like Bahamadia & Ta`Raach recently. Check www.myspace.com/soulparlor for all the infos...back to IG: his new album "Zen Badizm" is the next step for him, representing what you could call "Black Jazz" in all his diversity and musical freedom. Heavy. Only out in Japan for now through new label Freedom School.

So on the next weekend it was Gilles Petersons return to Frankfurt after 4 long years of waiting,. . . . and it was all worth the wait - he smashed it original Peterson world:wide style in our little basement club. He loved it, people loved it and freaked out . Merci bien, monsieur. ENZO says grazie mille! A soulsearching "worldwide 10" in this weeks show as well, talikin about Brownswood, the upcoming festivals and music. GP in the studio.

On sunday evening then a warm up set for the rocking Jamie Lidell gig here in Frankfurt. The new 5 piece band is like a freakshow with excellent musicians. And Jamie is still doin his live sampling thing, now evolving into heavy rock moments - next step , the festivals are waiting i guess. . .

easy now, no club DJ gig this week, no travelling as well,
so enough time to relax and refresh for the soulsearching extravaganza May 24th,
22h at Hafen 2, Offenbach with Peter Kruder!
