release description

Celebrating twenty successful years in the music business, Ultra Naté returns to Baltimore to create the DJ specific E.P. Things Happen At Night. After moving seamlessly in the past two decades through genres ranging from deep house, soul, R & B, electro, pop and rock, this time Ultra Naté teams up with Baltimore’s legendary club pioneers the Unruly crew of DJ Class, DJ King Tutt and Scotie B. As the mainstream catches up with the dynamic, up-tempo, energy driven sounds of Baltimore club music, the Unruly collective’s innovative approach to dance music has been sought after by today’s hottest recording artists ranging from Kanye West to M.I.A. to Lil Jon and praised by media giants including MTV, XXL and XLR8R Magazine. The marriage of Ultra Naté’s singing and songcrafting virtuosity with Unruly’s irresistibly rambunctious brand of dance music comes just in time to captivate DJ’s, critics and fans alike with these six club-pumping tracks.

With a visually stunning, futuristic new video for ''Faster, Faster Pussycat (Let’s Go!)'' featuring DJ King Tutt (co-written by Chris Willis) premiering from acclaimed director Bec Stupak, Ultra Naté has also shot a video for ''Hey DJ'' featuring DJ Class with renowned photographer and director Karl Giant. Having stepped behind the turntables herself in the past few years to learn the art of DJing, fans can also expect a stellar package of DJ-friendly remixes from today’s hottest producers.

Ultra Naté is poised for an extended stay in center stage with releases in the works including a new remix of her seminal house classic ''Free'' from a legendary French love generating producer (in commemoration of Strictly Rhythm’s 20 year anniversary) and collaborations with artists including Michelle Williams (of Destiny’s Child), David Morales, Quentin Harris, and Nervo (co-writers of David Guetta and Kelly Rowland’s smash hit ''When Love Takes Over'').
