release description

Born in Paris in 1973, DJ Cam pioneered the abstract hip hop sound with his debut LP Underground Vibes. Critically acclaimed internationally, his innovative instrumental fusion spurred on his second release Substances in 1996. Each successive album The Beat Assassinated, Loa Project, and Soulshine, drew from different influences from MCing to voodoo culture and new soul.

In the vein of 1996's Substances, Cam's forthcoming Seven features tracks with Chris James from Stateless, Inlove, Nicolette, the Abstract Phillarmonic Orchestra and MC Eiht.
