release description

M.I.A introduces "Born Free," the first offering from her self-titled new record, out 6/29 on N.E.E.T / XL / Interscope. This aggressive, punk-inspired single is the backdrop to a Romain Gavras-directed short film of the same name. No punches are pulled in "Born Free" the song or film, two scathing indictments of The System. Middle fingers in the air, blood in the alleyways, M.I.A proudly presents "Born Free."

M.I.A's self-titled release will be available on 6.29.10.
