On his new album, Africa for Africa, Femi Kuti articulates a raw and forceful call to the long tradition of Afrobeat. Following much acclaim in Europe, Knitting Factory Records unleash the album stateside on April 12. This digital DJ promo includes two tracks from the album. "Dem Bobo" describes the clever machinations and deceit (Bobo) of politicians who use subterfuge to achieve their devious objectives, while "Politics In Africa" compares the advantages provided to the underprivileged in western countries with the abject suffering dealt out by corrupt politicians in Africa.
