Long known for bridging musical gaps, Kravitz's latest offering sees him joining forces with artists including Drake, Jay-Z, Swizz Beatz and DJ Military. Sonically on the cutting edge, Black and White America manages to also pay homage to Americana's greatest achievements. The first single "Stand" is riff-driven rock and roll, and tracks like "Liquid Jesus" and "Superlove" offer a sophisticated re-interpretation of funk and R&B. These sit nicely next to electronic and dance infused club jams such as "Boongie Drop" and "Sunflower."
