release description

One year after "Goodbye Country, Hello Nightclub," Britain's Groove Armada return with "Lovebox" and the first single "Final Shakedown." Sculpted via the instrumentation of their eight strong live band it's the nearest sound yet to their famed live show. Guests from the multi cultural spectrum of hip-hop-soul include Neneh Cherry on the gorgeous "Think Twice," Red Rat on the elevational blues-funk number "Purple Haze" (also featuring Nappy Roots) and the irresistible ragga-beat stormer "Final Shakedown," MC M.A.D. (voice of "Superstylin") on the dub-hop funk-rock "Madder," the legendary Richie Havens on the mighty Hands Of Time, while Sunshine Anderson soars through the sublime orchestral disco of "Easy," Tim Hutton elevates the celestial sweep of "Tuning In" and Kriminal grins through the hip-hop sex-funk of "Groove Is On." "Lovebox" tracks are already championed across Britain by the likes of Jon Carter and Darren Emerson.
