release description

Hip-hop DJ and producer, DJ Krush is one of Japan's best known exports. Although he garners attention for making music that is perceived as an American phenomena, his special blend of dark and abstract hip-hop beats mixed with chilling jungle and dub sounds make his music completely unique. The Japanese producer was heavily inspired by the classic hip-hop film "Wild Style" but now releasing his 7th album, "The Message at the Depth," he has truly found his own distinct sound. DJ Krush has brought a diverse group of musicians in to the studio this time including Anti-Pop Consortium, Anticon, Jamaican funksters Sly Robbie and new singer Angelina Esparza. Embraced by hip-hop royalty for years, Krush has worked with The Roots, Guru, Mos Def, Company Flow, DJ Shadow and C.L Smooth. He will also be spreading the music this winter with a DJ tour in support of his provocative album.
