release description

Helene Foussart, one of the two sisters who make up the group Les Nubians once remarked, "music is every moment of our lives." Once you hear their globally influenced new album "One Step Forward," their unique tunes will undoubtedly become a part of the fabric of your life too. Their irresistible and stylish pop tracks are a worldly hybrid of afrobeat, reggae and R sounds. The beautiful young sisters have always absorbed musical styles from all over the world. Born to a French father and a Cameroonian mother, Helene and Celia began singing at a young age and garnered incredible success with their 1999 debut album "Princesses Nubiennes." Their first album became the most successful French language record to hit the Billboard charts in the past decade. Through their travels they met locals who created folk music in their native lands and worked with them, constantly expanding their musical knowledge. Helene also remarked recently that she hopes their "music can be a bridge that helps people meet." The album name "One Step Forward" represents Les Nubians musical growth but also the opportunity to bring the world a little closer through art.
